説明

iconv(3) 関数は内部で文字集合の変換に gconv モジュールを使用する。設定ファイルは変換に必要なモジュールを決定するのに使用される。このような設定ファイルを読み込んで解釈していると、 iconv(3) を使用するプログラムの速度が遅くなるので、キャッシュ機構が採用されている。

The iconvconfig program reads iconv module configuration files and writes a fast-loading gconv module configuration cache file.

In addition to the system provided gconv modules, the user can specify custom gconv module directories with the environment variable GCONV_PATH. However, iconv module configuration caching is used only when the environment variable GCONV_PATH is not set.

オプション

--nostdlib: システムのデフォルトの gconv ディレクトリを検索しない。コマンドラインで指定されたディレクトリのみを検索する。
-o outputfile, --output=outputfile: システムのデフォルトのキャッシュ場所の代わりに出力として outputfile を使用する。
--prefix=pathname: システムのパス名に指定した接頭辞を付与する。下記の「ファイル」を参照。デフォルトでは、この接頭辞は空である。接頭辞を foo に設定すると、 gconv モジュール設定は foo/usr/lib/gconv/gconv-modules から読み込まれ、キャッシュは foo/usr/lib/gconv/gconv-modules.cache に書き込まれる。
-?, --help: 使用方法を表示し、終了する。
--usage: 簡潔な使用方法を出力し、終了する。
-V, --version: iconv のバージョン番号、ライセンス、保証免責を表示する。

終了ステータス

成功すると 0 で、エラーの場合 0 以外。

ファイル

/usr/lib/gconv: 通常のデフォルトの gconv モジュールのパス。
/usr/lib/gconv/gconv-modules: 通常のデフォルトの gconv モジュールのシステム設定ファイル。
/usr/lib/gconv/gconv-modules.cache: 通常のデフォルトの gconv モジュールのシステム設定キャッシュ。
